Joe Longoria

Joe Longoria, 72, former Hart resident, died Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Joe was born on February 22, 1942, in La Grulla, Texas, to Dagoberto and Catalina Longoria.

He was a resident of Hart for 25 years before moving in December 1990 to Edinburg. He loved trucking and was employed for many years with Smith Potato Co. He enjoyed his work and loved what he did until his retirement.

He was a man of few words, but touched many hearts. He was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He is greatly missed.

Joe is survived by his wife, Emma Longoria; his children, Omar Longoria of McAllen; Thelma Longoria of Edinburg; Herman (Angie) Longoria of  San Antonio; Albert Longoria  of Laredo; Joe Jr. (Esmeralda) Longoria of Brownsville; and Linda (Jason) Cavazos of Harlingen; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral Arrangements were by Ceballos Funeral Home of McAllen.
