Hernandez Cited In Two-vehicle Accident

According to a report from the Texas Dept. of Safety, Hart resident Mario Hernandez has been issued a citation for Driving on Wrong Side of Road, Not Passing.

On Feb. 25 at 7 p.m., Hernandez, driving a 2005 Dodge Durango southbound on FM168 four miles south of the intersection of FM168 and TX86 (at Nazareth), veered onto the wrong side of the highway and struck a 1996 Ford Mustang driven by Richard Ramirez of Dimmitt.

Hernandez was transported from the site via Lifestar (medical helicopter) to Northwest Hospital in Amarillo. Ramirez and three passengers (Jonathan Reyna, Cristina Salinas and Ismael Goznales) were taken by ambulance to Plains Memorial Hospital in Dimmitt.
