Ann Pevehouse
Frankie Ann “Mema” Pevehouse, 75, of Hart, Texas, died on Saturday, November 8, 2014. The funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Dimmitt with James Jones of 4th & Bedford Church of Christ, Dimmitt, officiating. Burial was in Hart Cemetery .
Arrangements were by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
Ann was born in Clarksville, Texas, on April 21, 1939 to the late Willie Daniel Davis and Willie Bernice (Bea) Henderson. Ann was raised by her mother and loving stepfather, Everett Cole of Hart.
Ann married Nathan Pevehouse on September 7, 1961 in Dimmitt. They were happily married until his death in 1997. With support from family, friends and the community of Hart, Texas, she survived breast cancer in 1999. Ann was a very outgoing, strong-willed and generous woman. Her interests included family, friends, yard work, reading, discovering treasures, genealogy and candy-making.
She was preceded in death by her father, Everett Cole; two brothers, Gene Davis and Curtis Davis, a brother-in-law, Carl Baker; a nephew, Brett W. Davis; and a great nephew, Brett C. Davis. Survivors include two sons, Charles “Chuck” Pevehouse of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and Danny Pevehouse and wife Connie of Dimmitt; two daughters, Cheryl Hoover and Max of Hart and Ronda Cooksey and husband Gene of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; her mother, Bea Cole of Hereford; a brother, Gary Cole and wife Kathy of Hereford; three sisters, Carolyn Harman and husband Billy of Dimmitt, Linda Baker of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana and Jane Schielock of Amarillo; two sisters-in law, Mary Davis of Conner, Montana, and Dianne Davis of Adairsville, Georgia; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
