| Funeral mass for Beatrice Gonzalez, 82, of Hart was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014, in St. John’s Catholic Church in Hart with Monsignor Harold Waldo and Father Raj Arockia, celebrants, officiating. Burial followed in Hart Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview, Texas.A rosary was held at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014, at the church. Beatrice died Monday, November 10, 2014, in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on August 23, 1932 in Mission, Texas, to Inocencio and Maria Reyna. She married Roberto Gonzalez on May 11, 1950, in Mission, Texas.
She is survived by a daughter, Yolanda Capelo and husband Dr. Mel Capelo of Pasadena, Texas; two grandchildren, Chealsea Capelo of Houston and Brandon Capelo of Friendswood, Texas; four brothers, Oscar Reyna of El Cajon, California, Abel Reyna of Hart, Texas, Jimmy Reyna of San Diego, California and Pete Reyna of Mission, Texas; and six sisters, Soila Sarabia of Hart, Belia Sarabia-Alvarez of Clovis, N.M., Becky Passmore of Center, Texas, Pura Reyna of McAllen, Texas, Irma Chia and Maria Elena Rosales, both of Mission, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Robert Anthony “Andy” Gonzalez; and one sister, Linda Reyna.
