Dyer Not Seeking Re-election

Mayor Stanley Dyer, who began his service to Hart as a councilman in 1992, is not seeking re-election as Mayor of Hart. In addition to his position, the seats now held by Aldermen Danny Rodriguez and Wamon Foster were open for filing. Rodriguez is seeking re-election, and Foster did not. Also filing was Johnny Carrasco. This leaves a vacant position.

The Council, in May, will likely select a Mayor Pro-Tem, now Eliazar Castillo, and this person will be the mayor until the next election. There will be a vacancy on the Council, which can be filled by appointment.
