Gerardo Gonzalez

Gerardo Gonzalez, Jr., 36, of Earth passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Dimmitt. Funeral services will be Monday, June 30, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Hart at 10:30 AM with Guy Walker and Roy Puente officiating with burial to follow at Hart Cemetery.                                                         Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Gerardo Gonzalez, Jr. was born May 27, 1978 in Tulia, Texas to Gerardo Gonzalez, Sr. and Esmeralda Montemayor. He grew up in Hart and graduated from Hart High School playing football and powerlifting. He was a welder and a truck driver, he was an avid sports fan. He loved the Oklahoma Sooners, San Antonio Spurs and the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Hanna Marie Gonzalez of Earth; 2 sons Josheph Puente of Hereford and Xavier Gonzalez of Earth; 1 daughter Brooklynn Puente of Earth; his parents Gerardo Gonzalez, Sr. and Esmeralda Montemayor, 1 brother Adrian Gonzalez of Hart; 2 sisters Veronica Gonzalez of Hart and Melissa Flores of Earth and his grandmother Maria Anzaldua of Mission, Texas; 1 great niece Alexeus Yassminerose Cervantes of Earth and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
