Glenn Wilson

Glenn Wilson, 83, of Amarillo, died Saturday, March 31, 2018.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel in Amarillo.  Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. in Parkland Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 3605 SW 3rd St, Plainview, Texas 79072.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Glenn was born on February 12, 1935 in Wilson, Texas, to Beulah and Arthur Wilson.  He lived and farmed in Hart, Texas, before moving to the Canyon-Amarillo area.  He was a former member of First Baptist Church in Hart and later First Baptist Church of Sunnyside, Texas. After moving from Hart, he became a member of  First Baptist Church of Canyon.

He married LaWanda Brooks on September 16, 1960 in Hart.

He is survived by his wife, LaWanda Brooks Wilson; three daughters, Glenda J. Tanner and husband John of Olympia, Washington, Gwendalyn Randolph and husband Hermann Kyrychenko of Clayton, Missouri, and Melinda Wilson Thomas of Plainview, Texas; a sister, Doris Morrison of Plainview; six grandchildren, Jazz, Alex, Grant, Hunter, Anton and Athena; and two great-grandchildren, Lyra and Lilla.
