Top Academic Students For Hart High School Senior Class Announced

Valedictorian for the 2017 senior class of Hart High School is Abigail Rosas, who  posted a 92.59 GPA. She is the daughter of Martin and Mary Helen Rosas.

While in high school, she was inducted into the National Honor Society and won the President’s Gold Award. She served as president of the Student Class and the senior class, competed in robotics as a sophomore and a junior, and was editor of this year’s yearbook. She was a cheerleader, played basketball and golf, and ran cross country and track.

The salutatorian is I’Lynne Marquez, who was awarded an athletic scholarship to play basketball at Clarendon Junior College. Her GPA is 90.29. The daughter of Isidro Marquez and Nadia Reyna, I’Lynn’s future plans include graduating from Clarendon Junior College and then transferring to West Texas A&M University in Canyon to prepare to become a registered nurse. While in high school, she was presented the President’s Award and the History Award. She was in FCCLA, served on the student council and competed in robotics for one year. She also was in cross country and track.
