Marissa Godino Qualifies For Regional Powerlifting Meet

HART—Coach Ruby Romero announces that senior powerlifter Marissa Godino qualified for the regional meet after competing well in a meet held in Dimmitt on Saturday, January 28. Competing in the 97-pound division, Godino is sitting in second in state in Class A and AA, said Romero. The regional meet will be held on March 3 in San Angelo.

Jesus Guerrero came in third in the Dimmitt meet in the 123-pound division. He needed to place in the top two to qualify  for the regional meet. Romero said that he had been sick and didn’t perform to his potential.
