ANIMAL:  Skunk

POSITIVE RABIES REPORT DATE: February 15, 2019

LOCATION:  Northeast Castro County

DESCRIPTION:  On the morning of February 14, 2019 at approximately 10:30 a.m., the daughter of the home owner went to open the front door. The child opened the door very slightly and a skunk stuck its head in.  The mother yelled not to touch it and the skunk backed out. It then began circling the house.  The skunk was shot by the home owner and submitted for testing.
