Sarah Hart, 82, of Hart, Texas passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017, in Hart. Funeral services were Friday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Hart with former pastor, Matt Baird, officiating. Burial followed at Hart Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
Sarah was born June 1, 1935, in Lubbock, Texas, to Homer David and Annie Marie (Fleming) Garrison. She was a lifelong resident of Hart. She and husband, Joe Percy Hart, married 64 years ago in Littlefield, Texas.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hart, Hart Golden Group and Hart Lions Club. She was named Hart Golden Group Woman of the Year in 1993. Joe and Sarah was president of Hart Cemetery Association, and along with Joe, helped taken care of the Hart Cemetery for the last 15-20 years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and, most of all, loving on her grandchildren.
Those left behind to cherish Sarah’s memories are her husband; three sons, Gary Hart and his wife Rebecca of San Angelo, Marlan Hart of Quinlan and Vic Hart and his wife Laura of Hart; one daughter, Ladonna Elders of Amarillo; two sisters, Mary Helen Willis and her husband David of Tulia and Patricia Moore and her husband Bill of Bryan; one brother, Larry Garrison and his wife Tangy of Tulia; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
