Persons Arrested & Booked into Jail

December 30, 2013 to January 5, 2014

 

All persons arrested have been formally charged by warrant or have been formally arraigned by a Magistrate:

 

01/01- Gabino Paul Amaya, 22, of Hart was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on a Potter County warrant for Assault causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

 

01/02- John LaFuente Jr., 54, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on a Castro County warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 over 1 gram-under 4 grams Judgment NISI.

 

01/02- Jessie Perez Jr., 36, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for Driving While Intoxicated with B.A.C. over 0.15.

 

01/03- Roy Rodriguez, 53, of Hereford was arrested by the Texas Highway Patrol on a Parmer County warrant for Theft of Property over $20-under $500 by Check.

 

01/03- Kenneth Robert Smith, 42, of Dimmitt was transported back from Lamb County by the Sheriff’s Office on a Castro County warrant for Theft of Property over $20-under $500 by Check.

 

01/04- Anthony Navarro, 25, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces, Possession of Dangerous Drugs and Unlawful Carrying Weapon.

  • At 11:48 a.m., 300 blk Hillcrest Road, Hart, warrant service-one arrest made;
  • At 8:27 p.m., U.S. 385 & FM 2943, domestic disturbance reported.

 

01/02

  • At 10:00 a.m., 1500 blk FM 1055, warrant service-one arrest made;
  • At 10:07 a.m., 1000 blk CR 505, theft reported;
  • At 5:58 p.m., 100 E. Bedford, Dimmitt, phone harassment reported;
  • At 10:09 p.m., 100 blk W. Etter, Dimmitt, intoxicated driver-one arrest made for DWI.

 

01/05

  • At 12:50 p.m., 500 blk S. Broadway, Dimmitt, warrant service-one arrest made.

Judgments for January 2, 2014:

 

Francisco Cortez, 31, of Hart pled guilty to the original charge of Theft of Property over $1,500-under $20,000.  He was sentenced to 9 months in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-State Jail plus fines and court costs.
