March 7
• Kolby Michael Perez, 24, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Public
Intoxication and Burglary of a Vehicle.
• Fabian Chavez, 21, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Possession of
Drug Paraphernalia.
March 8
• Matthew Ramirez, 29, of Plainview was arrested by the Texas Highway Patrol on two
Hale County warrants for Possession, Controlled Substance, PG 1, over 1 gram-under 4
grams, and Possession, Controlled Substance, PG 1 over 4 grams-under 200 grams.
• Joe Bentura Ramirez, 29, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on a Castro
County warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance, PG 1, over 200 grams-under
400 grams.
• Nathaniel Xavier Olivarez, 17, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on Castro
County warrant for Criminal Mischief, over $750-under $2,500, and on-site Possession of
Controlled Substance, PG 1, under 1 gram.
March 9
• Haley Yvonne Burks, 34, of Canyon was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for Driving
While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.
• Rosendo Rodriguez, 47, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on two Castro
County warrants for Indecency with a Child, Sexual Contact-Motion to Adjudicate Guilt.
March 10
• Michelle Dylnn Kovacs, 38, of Hereford was arrested by the Dimmitt Police on a Potter
County warrant for Theft over $750-under $2,500.
• Sergio Javier Acosta, 24, of Hereford was arrested by the Dimmitt Police on a Deaf
Smith County warrant for Burglary of a Building.
• Gustavo Baeza Jr., 36, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Driving While
License Invalid; Display Expired Motor Vehicle Registration; and Fail to Maintain
Financial Responsibility.
• Leslie Gay Durham, 44, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on two Castro
County warrants for Forgery-Motion to Adjudicate Guilt – and Credit/Debit Card Abuse-
Motion to Adjudicate Guilt.
March 12
• Stacey Nicole Buskirk, 27, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for
Possession of Marijuana, under 2 ounces.
• Tanya Marie Martinez, 28, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for
Possession of Marijuana, under 2 ounces.
• Johnny Lafuente III, 39, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for Possession of
Marijuana, under 2 ounces.
• Roy Lee Rodriguez, 32, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for Possession
of Marijuana, under 2 ounces.
• Rene Villegas Jr., 28, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Display
Fictitious Motor Vehicle Registration and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Trespass.

• Charles Andrew Lee, 39, of Hart was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for Possession of
Controlled Substance, PG 1, over 1 gram-under 4 grams.
• Adolph D. Balderaz, 24, of Hereford was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Assault/
causes Bodily Injury /Family Violence.
March 15
• Roberto Castaneda Jr., 30, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for
Possession of Marijuana, under 2 ounces.
• Nabor Hernandez Jr., 51, of Olton was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for Possession of
Marijuana, under 2 ounces; Tampering with Identification Numbers-Weapon; and
Unlawful Carrying Weapon-Handgun.
March 1
• Abel Omar Montes, 39, of Brownsville was transported from Bexar County by the
Sheriff’s Office on a Bench Warrant issued out of the 242nd District Court.
• Harvey Raymond Gomez, 65, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for
Possession of Marijuana, under 2 ounces.
• Nemecio Armando Villanueva, 20, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for
Possession of Marijuana, under 2 ounces.
• Edwardo Garcia, 63, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for Driving While
Intoxicated, 3rd or More.

• At 2:50 p.m., 100 E. Bedford-Sheriff’s Office, Dimmitt, complainant wanted to
report a possible forgery;
• At 5:13 p.m., 800 blk Ave C, Hart, assist Hart Rescue & Castro County EMS with
medical call;
• At 7:23 p.m., FM 145 & FM 168, traffic stop-arrest made for possession of
controlled substance.

Judgments for March 9, 2017:
• Luke Franklin Wells, 26, of Happy pled guilty to the offense of Possession of Marijuana.
He was sentenced to 180 days in jail probated for two (2) years, $1000 fine, $367 court
costs, $50 Crime Line Fee, $100 Food Donation to the Helping Hands and pay $180
restitution to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Judgments for March 15:
• Tammie Marie Mann, 23, of Friona pled guilty to the original charge of Possession of
Marijuana, under 2 ounces. She was sentenced to 60 days in jail, probated for one (1)
year; $500 fine; $317 in court costs; $50 Crime Line Fe; and was ordered by the court to
complete 50 hours of Community Service.
• Pedro Hernandez, 34, of Dimmitt pled guilty to the original charge of Driving While
License Invalid with Previous Conviction. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, probated
for one (1) year; $500 fine; $257 court costs; $50 Crime Line Fee; and $100 Food
Donation to Helping Hands.
• Christian Joel Ortega, 21, of Dimmitt pled guilty to the charge of Assault/causes Bodily
Injury/Family Violence. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, probated for one (1) year;
$750 fine; $292 court costs; $50 Crime Line Fee; and $100 Food Donation to
Helping Hands.
• Alberto Angel Nicolas, 22, of Dimmitt pled guilty to the original charge of Deadly
Conduct. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, probated for one (1) year; $750 fine;
$292 court costs; and $100 Food Donation to Helping Hands.
• Paul Anthony Caudillo, 22, of Dimmitt pled guilty to two counts of Assault/causes Bodily
Injury. He was sentenced on each case to 120 days in jail, probated for two (2) years;
$500 fine; $292 court costs; $50 Crime Line Fee(on one case); and 100 hours of
Community Service.
Judgments for March 16, 2017:
• Juan Castillo, 45, of Dimmitt pled guilty to the charge of Driving While Intoxicated, 2nd
Offense, and Criminal Mischie,f over $100-under $750. On the DWI case, he was
sentenced to 90 days in jail, $500 fine and $395.10 court costs. On the Criminal
Mischief case, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail, $500 fine and $282 court costs.

Judgments for March 9, 2017:
• Mauricio Sandoval, 19, of Dimmitt pled guilty to the original offenses of Theft of Property
over $2,500-under $30,000 and Possession of Controlled Substance, PG 1, under 1
gram. His plea of guilt was set aside and he was placed on three (3) years Deferred
Adjudication Probation, $1000 fine plus court costs and Attorney Fees. He was ordered
by the court to remain in the custody of the Sheriff until he can be transferred to the
Community Restitution Treatment Center.
• Erick Vazquez, 24, of Lubbock pled guilty to the original offense of Possession of
Controlled Substance, PG 1, over 1 gram-under 4 grams. His plea of guilt was set aside
and he was placed on five (5) years Deferred Adjudication Probation, $2000 fine, $403
court costs, $50 Crime Line Fee, 400 hours of community service and was ordered to
pay $180 restitution to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Crime of the Week:
CRIME LINE OFFERS REWARD
The Castro County Crime Line is offering a $500 REWARD for information leading to
the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the burglary of the
Bradley Pens Feed Yard, located in the 2000 block of FM 1055. The burglary occurred
sometime between the evening hours of February 21, 2017, and the morning of
February 22, 2017. A $250 REWARD is being offered for the recovery of property
linked to this burglary. Persons with information can call the Castro County Crime Line

remain anonymous.
